dgshannon
Any body know the model number for the rev 4t Mikuni Carb so i can get some spares even lampkins dont know it !!!!! Mikuni make many OEM variations on that CV carb. Never could find the exact model number myself, when looking. But, I finally did figure out that it is the same as on the Yamaha Raptor 660 (it uses two), so I was able to buy spares, and jets, from the Yamaha dealer. nzralphy
I recall it is a Mikuni 28mm BSR SE.... and yes as per the above Yamaha use 'em They are sent out lean in the mid range to pass emissions testing.... so....raise the needle most of the way up and approx 2.5 turns out for the mixture Edited July 9, 2011 by NZRalphy

nzralphy
Underneath, at the exit end of the carb (engine side). It is a right SOB to get at. Make a mini flat head screw driver to do the specific job. Or, as I have, buy the Jitsie air screw. Don't over torque the screw down. Note if you are removing the jet there is a mico-mini-small oring in there! Edited July 21, 2011 by NZRalphy
dgshannon
thanks for your replies chaps will now have a word with my local yamaha dealer to see if he can supply any bits i need You want to start here: Pilot jet: 22.5 Main jet: 130 to 135 Air screw: 2 3/8 turns out Needle clip: 2nd slot down from the top (thick washer below clip and thin washer above)
