laser1
They have to cover all sponsor and/or brand identification. Notice on Pat's S3 gear all the S3 is covered up and Sherco is taken off their bikes. That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. rick1
Disappointing, last nights documentary had no mention or video on the sport of trials. The general population will not make any association to this as a sport. Also, just like seeing a trials in person versus on film, TV just doesn't due their act justice...as Howie pointed out...video is on youtube if you haven't seen it. no jive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xm7wgMvOdGI I think this is the last video? If not oh well. There is a number to call at the end to vote for them. Get your votes in.
zippy
THEY MADE IT TO THE SEMI-FINALS!!! While it is disappointing that the sport of Observed Trials or MotoTrials (whatever it is called now) is not mentioned, they are trying to win a contest. Would mentioning Trials actually help them win or just confuse people? You have to admit that all trials shows have really nothing to do with the sport of trials and just showcases the skills and stunts that can be done on a trials bike. Similar to what the FMX shows are like for Motocross and Enduro, maybe we need a sub-genre called Freestyle Trials??? Something Howie told two other acts comes to mind, that they are in basically a popularity contest. The Smage Bros. are trying to win a contest and need to appeal to a very broad audience. At this point I could give a rats @ss what competitive sport the bike derives from. There's a freaking' million dollars on the line. And... a year contract in Vegas. To have Pat stuck in Vegas for a year is worth it.
griffinjay
I've embedded 4 videos of the Smage brothers in this TTC blog post as they've made their way to the semi-finals.
