davey64
Hi all, When I bought my Sherpa 199A the rear mudguard was missing & I have bought a pair of new Goneli plastic mudguards. Could someone be as kind as to measure the distance from the bottom edge of the rear mudguard (where it meets the airbox) around the inside radius of the mudguard to the first mounting hole so I can fix the guard in the correct position. Regards Dave.

davey64
Thanks Nigel, I'll try lining it up to that and see how it looks.
woody
To be honest, your better off temporarily positioning the mudguard with tape and eyeing it up to see if it looks correct. Lots of Sherpas you see have the mudguard fitted too far forward which means the rearmost tip falls well short of the rear edge of the wheel. This makes the mudguard look too short. By playing with the positioning using tape you can see exactly how it lines up. I don't have a 199a now and can't remember if the mounting hole at the rear of the airbox is the same as a 199b. At a guess, on my 199b I have the mounting hole in the mudguard only 10 to 20mm from the mudguard edge. This gives it a full curve around the wheel. davey64
Thanks Woody, I'll set it up with tape like you said and get it almost level with the edge of the rear wheel & see how it looks. Regards Dave.
