dekon
So I finally found a real nice 2004 Rev 3 270. Was really looking for a 250 but the price and condition of the bike was to good to pass up(owner had complete records on bike including ride hours and all maintenance performed from the day he picked up the bike). Yesterday I was putting around my backyard and noticed that the trans oil in the window looked hazey or foggy after I rode it. I immdeiately thought the case was bad. But within five minutes the oil was as clear again. I am thinking that it looked this way because there were mirco-bubbles in it from being churned up by the clutch. The owner from day one used Elf Organic coolant in it. I checked the coolant and the level has not dropped. Should I be worried about the case? cyclist
I think it is probably just gettin aerated from running as you suspect. As long as it clears up after sitting a few minutes it is probably just air bubbles.
dan williams
It's fine. Some aeration is natural so is emulsification of any normal moisture that sits in the transmission.
