durham4416
I'm looking to get a trials bike and one of these has just came up for sale near menand It looks lovely, are they a good bike and do these models have the switchable engine maps? Is it just a gimmick, cheers in advance
ham2
I rode one...a 2008 I think? (black and pink graphics?) . I couldn't tell any difference with the 2 stage ignition timing but I could tell the difference with the rear shock....nice
durham4416
It's black, red and yellow, black frame, it's up for 2k, does that seem about right?
micm
If you like a classic Sherco it is a good model. I agree the mapping variation is hardly noticable - only maybe flat out but I don't recall the rear shock being anything but the usual Olle issue. It should have a Keihin carb which feels a lot different to the standard Dellorto. It is a bike that could become collectable maybe like say a good Raga Replica Gasser 300. durham4416
What do you mean by a classic sherco?
sirhc
I believe your looking at an 07. No Caby's in 08, though they did have the 10th annvesary edition that year with a silver frame. As for the map switch, we just remove ours. Makes no diffrance.
copemech
What do you mean by a classic sherco? It is conventional in design, as comparer to the '10 and up. Good bike if well kept, pricee according yet does not seem high to me.
ham2
Did I just imagine the pink n black bit?
durham4416
Heres a link to the one I'm looking at http://autotrader.mobi/used-bikes/advert/201128401719651/viewing-1?PHPSESSID=0mta2qt3rbj59l98g8fg6qhms6
ham2
Ok then, pinky/red but yep, that's the model I was thinking of.
sirhc
Hmm, The 07 Caby had the silver plastic. It also had the same style graphics & red rims as this bike, but graphics had silver in them instead of white. I don't know, maybe just no Caby's here in the U.S. in 08? Either way, nice looking bike
