rev3
Evening all Can I ask which coolant you use please. I currently have an 06 rev 3. My problem is I have no bikes shops locally. All advice is welcome and thanks in advance.
nzralphy
Don't use tap water, ions, or something, will eat the casings away. Go to a car parts store and get some ready-mixed coolant, no particular brand.
rev3
Thank you. I'll go down to my local motor spares shop and pick a liter or 2 up.
liviob
If your motor has magnesium cases use a coolent that will not promote electrolysis. I use engine ice.
monty_jon
Anti-freeze for cars with an inhibitor (should say on bottle) mixed 50:50 with distilled water

dgshannon
Anti-freeze for cars with an inhibitor (should say on bottle) mixed 50:50 with distilled water Be careful on that one. Many car coolants contain silicate, as part of their anti-corrosive feature. That silicate can act as an abrasive in motorcycle water pumps. I have been using the Hondaline HP Coolant (pre-mixed, ready to go.), for years, in a variety of bike brands, including Beta, for the past 4 years. Knock on wood, no problems so far.
