blomster
Ok so I sorted my stripped threads out by helicoiling. Now I have a new problem, according to the frame number my bike is a 1993 model, yet looking at the diagrams here http://www.gasgasmotos.es/en/manuals/5.html my barrel and cylinder head match the diagrams for the 1992 model, but mine has a hydraulic clutch not the manual one. According to the diagram the hydraulic clutch is on the 93 onwards. Anyone know if I have a model that is somewhere inbetween or has a previous owner been mixing engine parts ?. And are there gasket kits available for my engine ?. Thanks.

No offence to the loose brake disk op.

We don't know without further information if, in fact, a later model engine has been installed. 3. You should be able to get gaskets for your model. baldilocks
In 1993 Gas Gas introduced the crankcase reed motor for the 250, in the UK this was great for the better riders but a bit of a handful for the average rider. Gas Gas did a limited edition called an economy part way through the year. The economy title is misleading as the bike had the 1992 model engine with the reed block on the cylinder but fitted with hydraulic clutch and various other 1993 bits. It was a very good bike for 99% of people. regards trials nerd.
