On a high compression 2stroke This sounds too good to be true  .... Can you please give us some clue as to how this will be done?

Best of balance.

Hi Mate

Decompressor maybe ? but you;ll need your hand to pull the lever...

<_<

  • 2 weeks later...

Key component - get the latest map loaded from the dealer (12 I think) - this addresses the hard start, and speeds up the tickover a touch.

No throttle

Neutral from cold

Wear Boots

Kick from the very top like you mean it

It gasps a little for the first few seconds

I now can't blame the bike when I stall in sections and it starts in gear first kick easily when warm.

the 2012 bikes seem ok to start, from cold you give

it 3 or 4 lazy kicks to prime it and them one like

you mean it and its off, when hot just the one like

you mean it and its fine.very nice bike to look at

and even better to ride

cant wait to get on it again

Not surprising either as both of those engines have been kicking around (with minimal update) for donkeys years

Best of balance.

And they run carbs that don't require a large dose of electricity to start the fuel moving.

Once you're used to any bikes starting ritual such as preloading the kickstart on a gasser to protect the mechanism it all becomes second nature

i also think it will get alot better as the motor

loosens up mines only been been riden once. the

dealer told me once it had run in it will be 2 kicks

to prime it and one to start, in his words when you

kick it to start it kick it like a 300 gasser and

so far so good
