broony
A wee update on Alf the C15.Lacing up the rear wheel at the moment, went for a WM2 rim.Still collecting bits and pieces.Going to do a dry build with the engine in the frame so I can get an idea for the offset of the rear hub.Ah the dark nights don't you just love them. cheers the noo Brian
monty_jon
Hi solvent3, the forks and yokes look very nice Do you have the ebayers name for the yokes? Cheers
solvent3
Hi Monty Jon. Sellers name is belspar. They were sold as cub yokes but I think the spindle may have been a bit short. Very well made but will probably need a longer spindle. I have some on my honda too. Actually wouldn't mind another set for the fb I've just built. Hi solvent3, the forks and yokes look very nice Do you have the ebayers name for the yokes? Cheers

mechatron
Hi Solvent3 I am very interested in your C15 project, especialy the bashplate I can't find any for sale for the C15 (anyone have any clues?) Do you know if it's a "home brew" bashplate or a bought item. Cheers Kev
broony
Had an enjoyable day at The Haggis Autojumble today, was good to catch up with old friends.Managed to get some more parts for Alf.Feeling a bit guilty as Alf's getting a back seat for the moment as my recent pur- chase,a TY250 twin shock is nearly fit for trialling. cheers the noo Brian
mcman56
I will be interested in hearing how you make out with the pit bike ignition. I tried one of the pit bike inner rotor ignitions on a C15 but could barely get a pop out of it. They may vary in performance so you may be more lucky. To see what was going on, I set it up and ran it with a milling machine. For comparison, I also had a Honda XR50 and a Yamaha PW80 ignition. Both Japanese ignitions would fire a spark plug at lower rpms than the pit bike ignition. I put it on a fresh motor and just coil not get it spinning fast enough with the kicker. I tried to squeeze in the XR50 ignition but it just would not fit under the cover. It is surprisingly big for little 50 and would probably be too heavy also.
