I used configure as a heading rather than "design". If you could configure a trials bike that afforded you the ability to raid the parts bins of any current trials bike manufacturer what would this "Parts Bin Raided" configured trials bike look like? An example would be, The engine out of a 2100 Beta Evo, The 2011 GAS GAS PRO frame, The 4RT shocks, etc, get the picture"? And what would we call it?

Basically:

What engine configuration: i.e. 2T or 4T

What size cc:

What engine:

What frame:

What dia of forks:

What forks:

What forks: Upside down or conventional:

What Rear Shock:

What plastic:

What wheels:

What (factory) colour:

What factory graphics:

What clutch:

What brakes:

Should be an interesting configuration!

As I already own the perfect configuration of trials bike I'm afraid I need to abuse this thread...my apologies in advance

Basically:

What engine: Briggs and Stratton

What frame: Zimmer

What forks: Garden

What Rear Shock: 240 volts

What plastic: Tupperware

What wheels: Castor

What (factory) colour: Grey or brown (most factories are grey or brown?)

What factory graphics: To Let

What clutch: Massey Ferguson

What brakes: Tea breaks, smoke breaks and NAAFI breaks are my favourites

Should be an interesting configuration! Indeed

GJ

As Mr Bou hasn't phoned me yet and as an Engineer and O40's rider would suggest the following

What size cc: 200 or 250

What engine: EFI definitely, reverse cylinder seems good idea. 2t lightest, 4T more fun!!

What frame: Steel as per latest GasGas - inherent strength in the design

What dia of forks: see below

What forks: 4rt Showa

What forks: Upside down or conventional: see above

What Rear Shock: 4rt Showa or Ohlins from what I have read

What plastic: 4rt RTL Burgundy metallic circa 2006

What wheels: 4rt/DID

What (factory) colour: 4rt Burgundy as above or Repsol

What factory graphics: as above in Fuji style with flat alloy tank

What clutch: not 4rt

What brakes: Nissin oversize front, wavey disc. Rear seems AJP std but wavey/slotted disc

Those Castor wheels would be amazing for us mortals that can't 'hop/bop'

Enough Said ... Bring these back out and even the playing feild !!! :icon_salut:B)

Nice bike still! It just struck me just how good that bike could bee as an all rounder trail/trials bike with possibly a slightly larger tank and seat and a bit here and there(real brakes).

Pye seems to get around the SSDT quite well onit!

I would have to do that kinda stuff as I cannot afford too much titanium!

:banana2: Trust Me , the old girls drums are as real as they get ... Still not disc , But they function better than designed ... And you can put the stock tank back on and gain about 1/2 a litre more fuel . :banana2:

Glenn B)

(now just some Maxton suspension bits ... And all will be grand )
