I have an '02 Pampera which is in need of a cylinder replate. Could it be bored out to 280 {72.5mm to 76mm] then replated? Obviously I'll have to use a 280 piston and head, rejet the carb etc. but everything else looks the same to me. The engine is the same as the TXT 250 Edition, has anyone done this?

Not such a good idea, opening the bore out to 76mm would lower the base of the transfer ports, especially the rear one, by about 3mm!
