Top Gear tested a similar product years ago with a car on an ice rink? They achieved good results on the 'dry' ice conditions of the ice rink but didn't test it on any other surface? So if the first section just happens to be marked up on the local ice rink you might just be in with a chance

GJ

So with an aerosol and the muppet wristband you will be riding like toni?

Man, don't y'all see?

Never mind testing Super-toni for PED's we should have a delegate from the FIM or ACU licking his back tyre to detect traces of this arsol (sp?) !

Don't want to give away any secret ideas but , I really think the tire prep that is used in gocart racing to make the tires softer , should have the same effect on a trials tire right?

Has anybody tried it ? Will you admit it works??

I went to a dirt track gocart race this summer and was surprised to see how they tend to their tires. As soon as they are off the track they put the cart up on a stand and wash and squeege the tire off. Then they spray it with WD40 and let it soak in until the next heat. This evidently softens up the tire and makes it stick to the moistened and rolled dirt surface. The weird part is that the place where they line up and merge onto the track is not moist......so the tires get a layer of dust on the tires before they even reach the track. It must help though......as they would not go through all that WD40 if it didn't help. You could see cars at the back of the pack drifting around corners as their tires were not hooking up - while the cars in front where not sliding at all.

The stuff they use on circuit karts is referred to as tyre dope, you paint it on the day or so before use & wrap the tyre in cling film.

I've been told it allows an old rock hard tyre to grip like it's a new 1 & works out way cheaper than buying new tyres for a club level racer
