subira Posted March 31, 2005 Report Share Posted March 31, 2005 Don't forget that the wheel spindle links the two fork legs to bind them into one unit that's doing both compression and rebound. If your mudguard stay is bending - is your spindle tight ? The mudguard stay 'does exactly what it says on the tin', it's only made of alloy, if it was to hold the forks in line with each other it would be much more substantial.
