Hello Bondy. I have been using a NGK B6EV in my Sherpa for the last two years or so. I think I got the last four in Australia though. You should be able to get a BP5EGV though as they use them in a lot of high performance cars. The thin electrode does sharpen the power on the Sherpas up. The iriduim plugs are also worth a look as well. There is a NGK website to look at but I am not sure of the address though. Bully Lover.

What plug is recommended for an M80? I did start it up first time ok on an NGK B7ES, because that's what I had in my garage. But now I can't start the b'stard. Is there a technique for starting them? I'm used to starting big 4 strokes, where there is very definitely a technique - but probably not right for a little 2 stroke.

Any suggestions? There's plenty of petrol getting through.

I use ND (Nippon Denso) - used to use them in the race bike and they always gave more power than NGK. Never had a problem with them.

You can get the correct equivalent from the previously mentioned www.sparkplugs.co.uk - who are fantastic to deal with and good on price too.
