ham2
The side of the kickstart is for me not a problem, sometimes I need some time getting used to the "other" side when switch the bike. For me it's all about: - how it's mount, (height), - how good the kickstart mechanism works, (much wear had the aluminium kicker that was used for the Italjet Piuma f.e., or the lever of the TY 175 that is possible to break by accident). Then the internal ratch mechanism where you sometimes find "soft" solutions where "dedentition" is not uncommen, (f. e. Fantic 1994 K-Roo, not mine shown here): My God, those shards flew out and took off his thumb? I don't know where this topic is going 'cos you just reach down to fold it out then realise it's on the other side..about 2 seconds wasted..who can't live with that? pindie
Left hand kickstart is only an issue if you have a weak mind? It really does not matter. If it matters you will want electric start soon. If you get that you will then complain about thumb sores from pressing it. The alternative is keep your motor running where possible in sections to avoid starting again. If you suffer from a weak mind it won't matter then? neo
Left hand kickstart is only an issue if you have a weak mind? Well here is an extremely intelligent deduction. Best of balance. Neo

gjbiker
Well here is an extremely intelligent deduction. Best of balance. Neo A bit like 'Drinking pints is only an issue if you have a weak bladder' ? I prefer right hand kickers for exactly the same reason as I prefer to use my right hand for the other pleasurable things in life. Using the left hand just aint the same, therefor I am evidently weak minded (and going blind)! Hands up if you ride pre-65 with a right hand gear change and left foot brake? You then swap back to a modern machine for the the next six days.....is it a problem? We as humans are mainly pretty good at the 'overcome and adapt' when faced with a challenge so a left kicker isn't really much of an issue unless (like me) you're good at stalling and are naturally biased to the right side of the body? I would hazard a guess that if you're left handed (footed) you'll prefer a left kicker and vice versa unless of course you're ambidextrous? Then you probably don't give a f*ck GJ
copemech
I recall having dificulty with one my old Honda CR's as the kicker was on the left(bad knee) side. Got a new CR and the kicker was on the right! Thay bike gave me another bad knee! So now it makes no difference!

ham2
Dodgy right knee, so it's left kick for me.... Poet who doesn't..... I'll get me coat.... My old knees are so sore, that it affects my score . With a failing bod, it matters not whence you 'prod'. One side's like t'other when kicking that mutha.. Therefore left's same as right, so I don't give a 5h|te. OOps, I started off as a poet but turned into a rapper..
