cabby
Update. Put some fuel down the hole and got a wee splutter then cut out, so removed tank, and breather hose, then re fitted, and strangely it fired up So I've just left it for now and will re fit kill switch the mora and hopefully all will be good

cabby
Just a stab in the dark was it the breather? TBH I'm not sure, as I said, I removed tank and then hose, then re fitted and it fired up I didn't or don't know what difference the breather hose would do ?? chewy
I didn't or don't know what difference the breather hose would do ?? put your finger over the end of a pen tube or straw and suck.... then take your finger off and tell the difference

samy
It'll still get fuel at idle but under throttle it'll die as it won't be able to get any more fuel as the blocked breather limits the flow. cheers
copemech
I think there is a one way ck valve on the vent line. Add of coures you want to clean the line to insure no mud or dirt blockage. If the bike were brought inside and warmed, there could be enough vapor pressure in the tank to push fuel through the pump. Thus your fuel flow. baldilocks
If there is sufficient petrol in the tank the petrol will gravity feed through the pump hence DBFs experience when removing the line to the carb.
