Beta Rev 3 Radiator Leaking

Hello,

I dont know if this is a common problem or just restricted to my bike.

I have a Beta rev 3 290 2005, had it for about six months now. Today i was doing a trial and noticed a lot of steam coming off the exhaust pipe. I thought this was just mud as it was very muddy and boggy.

It was only on the second lap someone pointed out water was dripping from the radiator. Luckily it was on the last section before a break.

Anyway, upon inspection i found the radiator cover had been rubbing, only slightly, but over a period of time, and it had worn away the bottom part of the radiator and the top. Just below the last set of "fins" and just above the first set of "fins" (Design fault or just my bike?)

(I'll get a pic up asap)

This has caused tiny pin holes of which the fulid is escaping.

Now the big question, is this repairable? I have looked online for new radiators and i cant find any.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Give Watkins radiators in Gloucester a call.

As a temporary repair, Araldite works very well indeed.

Just gave them a ring, very good price, thanks very much for the help.

Hi Guys,

I got my radiator repaired and all hooked up.

I done a trial today and it has blown through the cores again, dont think its repairable now.

I want a new radiator to be on the safe side. Does anyone know where i can get a brand new radiator for my rev 3.

"Technowaldo" you mention you brought a new one, can i ask where you got it from?

Many thanks
