craig10
Ok, time to give credit where it's due after some criticisms I have made on here re SACU licences. Just read on the SACU website that they're going back to £10 day licences for club and some nationals. Hopefully should attract occasional riders back into the fold, might even get out there myself... From the SACU News Bulletin 4/2011 ONE EVENT LICENCES The Directors of the SACU decided at their last Management Meeting, held in October that the One Event Licences would come back into use for NATIONAL & CLOSED TO CLUB EVENTS ONLY but NOT for SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS. There will be a new one event licence application form (separate from the annual application form). One event licences will be £10.00 and a rider can apply as many times as he/she wishes throughout the year. The difference this time with the one event licences is that it will not be carried forward towards an annual licence. Both licences will be completely separate. These one event licence forms should be with the clubs in the next couple of weeks. Edited December 14, 2011 by craig10

02-apr
Is the Pre'65 classed as a National though? I'm sure I saw it somewhere as "UEM", whatever that implies.
idmcc_sec
We run the Highland Classic Two Day, it's a National trial and is also UEM certificated. (This allows European riders to enter) We would be OK issuing OELs for this event for UK riders, so I'll assume ditto for the Scottish Pre '65. big john
The re-introduced SACU off-road One Event Licence (OEL) at £10.00 is available to riders who wish to ride SACU Closed to Club; National Restricted & National permitted trials, the only exclusion are Scottish Championship events where a full SACU licence or equivalent ACU/MCUI is required. Riders must produce evidence that they are a club member or if the promoting club allows, mebership on the day of the event. Riders must also have some form of identification, being a drivers licence, national insurance card, credit card etc so that this may be noted on the form by the club official. The rider must be able to answer "no" to all medical questions otherwise the licence may be refused if there are doubts raised by answering "yes" to any of the medical questions. The club official reserves the right to refuse the application on these grounds and that of non verification of the riders identification. The rider must be an adult, youth OEL's are not available, a youth must hold a full youth licence to compete in Scotland. SACU One event licences will be available for the Pre-65 Scottish 2 Day Trial and Highland Classic Two Day trials in 2012. The SACU Trials Committee listened to what clubs and some riders wanted, OEL's are also now available for SACU motocross, enduro and Quad events at the same price. Not trying to put anyone off the oel's john just saying that your as well buying the full ticket Makes sense dbf, but we felt that some riders who don't ride regularly would benefit from the new OEL offer. For our motocross lads, this has cheapened their racing with some Scottish MX & Enduro clubs doing "packaged deals" of OEL & Membership etc. Full licence is the better buy, but the choice is there!
