johnson
g'day fellas, i own a 290 '09 cab replica and have recently had trouble with the fan staying on permanently even when starting it up cold in the mornins!there appears to be nothing wrong with the connections and just wondering if it could be thermo switch. Bit of help would be appreciated, thanks...
tony27
You've picked it correctly, the thermoswitch is sticking which mine does every so often. I wouldn't worry too much as the only thing that will happen is the bike takes longer to warm up
johnson
yeah mine was doing it now and then, but now it's a permanent fixture...ok thanks Tony!
laser1
If its your temp switch - change it. Trials bike fans are expensive. You will wear out your fan bearings much quicker if left on all the time, as well as have a bike running at a lower temp than it was designed to.
