i take a pic of it tomorrow it is more or less ready to trial.

I think the headstock bearings need tighting as there is a little slop.

Needs a lilttle bit of tiding.

The owner has done the following not to long ago:

Cam chain has just been changed and it runs lovely

It has also got 2 nearly new tyres x11s

It has got loads of torque and soft power i love the sound of the wes pipe!

its also got 2 nearly new falcon shocks.

Fork seals need doing and so does the chain and sprockets but you can ride it as it is.

Any tips to look at on the bike would be helpful :D

eg: engine oil other things to look out for etc

a BIG MUST is to change the oil often, I change mine after 2 trials some may say more some less,

your bike sounds well sorted x11's, wes, falcons are all good things to have

weak points on the bike are noisy camshafts (due to not changing oil often)

wheels corrode from the inside out (the back 1 more than the front)

footrest mounts rust from inside the frame

other than that I think they are excellent, I've done a couple up this year which I've sold but have keeped my last 1 the pic which you saw in another posting the red\white 1

good luck Booma

booma & HondRS cover the main thing which is change the oil regularly and clean the centrifugal filter as soon as you get the bike.

As for valve lifter I would suggest to change to a manual valve lifter by making up a canle to a lever on the handlebars. I find it makes starting the bike a lot easier than the automatica variety. It has the benefit of allowing you to 'bump start' the bike easily on even a gentle slope.

The other thing to think about is widening the footpegs (or if you are really rich buying wider pegs) and widening the back brake lever, its a lot easier to get to then.

a handy thing to have if your messing about with the engine is a manual, I got a Clymer manual with covers this model as well as other models

do a search on google or ebay to find 1 , mine came from the States but I'm not sure if anybody does them over here

as for an ally gear lever I swap mine from my Beta rev3 as I like my lever to be just above horizontal

as for the footrests I leave the standard brackets on the frame but buy after market pegs then trim the back edge down by 3mm then reweld a small plate in the back

the holes on the standard bracket are 14mm from back to centre of hole where as the Hebo ones are 17mm, the kickstart will just rub but with a bit of warming up and slight tweeking you can bend the kickstart out to miss the peg

I have ordered a new set of brake pads and fork seals.

I may think about saving up for a tank seat unit.

The paint work on the engine is a bit tatty you cant see it all in the pic but i might respray it in the winter.

I am going to take the swinging arm out soon and give that a fresh coat of paint.

The wes pipe polishes up nice but has one small repair done on the back where the wheel has rubbed through at some point not to bad.

If there any noises to look out for on the motor?

Just out of intrest.

it also has recently just had a new slide in the carb and jets etc.

You can get a complete TLR200/250 workshop manual from Colin Appleyard for about

Will the Beta rev 3 leaver fit the TLR 250? spoke to Barry Roads at Welsh Trophy Trial & he had one on from a Beta but wasent sure which model.

Also his and Clint Leggetts bike had trick exhausts with Clints using the standard box below the air filter housing and modifiying it with baffells in and then exiting out just in front of the top shock mount with twin outlets, Barrys was similar but had a custom made box. Both looked very neat.
