Hi Guys

Off to pick up my first Cota 314r tommorow. purchased off ebay cheap. Can any body give me advice on any problem areas to look for, and any advice on day to day life of running one of these would be great.

I have just upgraded from a sherpa 325 so fancied something a bit more modern.

cheers for any help

hey there i'd check to see how it starts from cold, engine noise that sounds like it could be the bigend that sort of thing, also coolant leaks, the montys are rekoned to be pretty bulletproof and have great engines it all depends on how its been looked after. You can also check the general state of the bike things like wheel bearings, swingarm & linkage play, brakes, the headstock and throttle cable.hope this helps happy biking

Cheers for the advice. The bike looked pretty tidy first time round. Only thing i could find was a knock on the rear suspension linkageas i lifted the bike off the ground and back. Any advice on where to purchase ceals and bearings from. ps Right side panel split but has been fiberglassed so would like to pick up new if poss.

Cheers
