penno350
Guys, can I ask a really simple question. How is the rear of the tank for the 159 onwards, alloy or plastic secured to the frame, is it designed to just be held in place by the seat and the single bolt at the front through the headstock? big john
In a word, Yes! Single through bolt at the front, two rubber "buffers" or mushrooms fitted to frame boss to stop lateral sway towards the rear of the tank and the seat holds it all down when fitted properly with two rear brackets to frame and nose jam at front against boss. Nose of seat keeps rear of tank from lifting. Big John
naichuff
You are right John you and I have had plenty of them I fit a thin strip of rubber on the top tubes to stop the rear of the tank rubbing
