richt
Most people use ATF DextronIII oil, takes about 350ml or fill to halfway in the sight glass. I fill mine then run a few minutes and check it when settled. Forget the owners book it is full of mistakes! It says put 550ml in the gearbox (it wont go in!) and it also says petrol mix 50:1 when between 65:1 or 75:1 is what works well.

telecat
Don't know what you are doing but 500ml of Dexron III easily goes into my son's 2011 300. Generally I put about 400ML in though. The Air filter does need cleaning at least every second ride so I have two one in and one ready(or being cleaned!!!). NAD1
Definitely agree re: ATF, its all I've used in my Gassers. Best bet for draining is to get the bike warm so that the oil is thin and will drain easier and quicker. You'll probably get more out too. Re quantity: as mentioned book says 550ml but that's madness. As mentioned fill to half way or just over half way up the glass window - obviously ensuring the bike is sat totally flat - this will probably equal around 450ml Best bet is fill it, run the bike till its hot, stop it and put back on totally flat surface, wait for oil level to settle in glass window and see where it is then. Re: oil for your petrol I have always ran mine at 80:1 and they're fine although you can run a bit richer if you like but I've never ran one at 50:1 Always make sure you use a good fully synthetic oil and I always use Shell V Power (higher octane) You may need to adjust some of the carb settings depending on how you will run the bike oil-fuel mixture wise and how it has been ran previously oil-fuel mixture wise. Other than that should be fine.

I can't get 400ml in mine but I'm not complaining! Definately fully synthetic 2 stroke oil. I am using normal Shell petrol and Putoline Trials oil at 65ml to 5 litres its about 77:1 never fouled a plug with this mix. ATF is not expensive but try a local auto spares shop something like 'Comma' is cheaper but the DextronIII spec is what to look for.
