davelewis
I always find suspension one of the most confusing aspects of trials motorcycle setup. On my Fantic 245 monoshock, it appears to be adjustable via three methods - by increasing or increasing the compression damping by turning a knob on the gas bottle under the petrol tank, tightening the spring up or by a black knob at the lower end of the suspension unit. What is this black knob, is it rebound adjustment? Does it really make any difference I ask. If so, which way to increase it, clockwise or anticlockwise? I find the adjustment of compression damping is quite effective in stiffening up the rear end. What exactly does compressing the spring do? Anyone know any good websites relating to suspension setup? Ramblings late at night with a glass of shiraz in my non typing hand, and one eye on the 10 o clock news! ?
grib
Getting your suspension set up correctly will make a big difference to how your bike rides; read this and take it from there.
