md04 Posted February 9, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 9, 2012 what is wrong with them martin Hi, they have small scores in the stantions nothin severe but they are leaking and i assumed it was the scores were ripping up the seals ive got new seals might put them in and see if it does the trick.I was wondering if there's anyone out there that can repair the scores. If they are not to bad, we use an oil stone (used to sharpen knives it has a flat face) to lightly knock off the highspots. Put some masking tape on the fork around where your working so you dont nick up a good spot! You dont want to or have to take it down to the bottom of the gouge! Just take the highspot/small burrs off. You can polish out with 400/600/1000grit paper. Easy peasy! A tiny amount may leak as the seal passes over the low spot you left...but it should amount to next to nadda!
