spawtydawg
Hi, I'm trying to register my Fantic on an age related plate. I've had a dating letter from Bill Pye but the DVLA and their pedantic bureaucracy won't accept it as dating evidence, they say I need an official dating letter from Fanticmotor. As there is no official Fantic Importer of motorcycles in this country anymore I can't see where I will be able to obtain one from. Has any body had the same problem and if so how did you solve it? Any advice greatly appreciated.

b40rt
Are there any other DVLA within reach of you ? Might get a different response, worth a call. Have you checked that it was not previously registered with frame & engine no's, that age of bike it may well have.

Just picked up an old 200 which has holes in the rear mudguard for a number plate but no sign of the reg. Thanks, Gary

When I took my SWM along to register it on a Q plate to check if it was listed stolen, I was told it had been registered previously and I could get the number back (
