sounds like someones wired around the stat ,would be best to correct the problem before it causes a new problem

looked at the wiring and it all looks untouched

going out today, will see if it stays on all the time

I have noticed that our 125 runs as soon as the bike is started

I presume this is not normal

should I change the stat or is it ok to run all the time ?

I would check the Thermo-Switch in the radiator. Unplug one wire and see if the fan stops. If so, the switch may be shorted to run all the time.

If the switch is in the radiator it screws in, if it's in a housing midway along the the hoses then to remove it you need to open up the metal clip piece then pull out the switch.

Replacing it is as simple as pushing back into the rubber sleeve & closing the clip back up. Did the switch come with a new sleeve & clip or do you need to reuse the original?

its the one for the pipe

yes it came with the housing, thats what confused me

initially I presumed, open the two clips and pull it out (or screw it out ?), then it arrives complete and no obvious way of the housing attaching

seems to have a lipped o ring which must just pop into the hose fitting
