Hi there ,

Cool forum :D

Couple of questions :

1. After how many hours (60 ???) of engine work Do i need to replace the oil , and which oil is best?

2. Is there any website for this bike with good information , or anywhere i can download bike manual ?

Thanks buds.

Ride carefully!!!

There are as many opinions about oil as there are kinds of oil.

If in doubt, stick with the factory recommendation.

As for changing it...I was told long ago, "Oil is cheaper than metal".

Change it often.

Every 3-4 rides is pretty safe.

Will gear oil 10/40 or 20/50 do the trick ?

Which is recommanded to put (In case i don't know factory recommendation) ?

Thanks alot.

I think that I use 10 30, not sure though, It is 500ml though to put in.

I change my gearbox oil every 4 months, which is every 4 trials and quite alot of practice. Although oil is cheaper than metal, it will last alot longer than the reccomended time. I know someone who has a brand new 4RT and he didn't change the engine oil which came in the bike for about 5 months, and he was riding it about every other weekend.

Hi, i tend to use Silkolene SRG75 which i change every eight trials, the handbook quotes Elf HTX976 to be changened every three.

Also, the handbook is worth having, i have seen a couple on Ebay recently.

Hope this helps.

GAFF'S right, the silkolene is good stuff, but a bit tricky to get hold of. i previously used pj1 clutch tuner, but have noticed the silkolene is more effective, for longer so is worth searching for.

If only they could do something about the mess all over the sump guard when emptying the old stuff.

The sollution is pretty simple. Get hold of a (i use copper) tube, and put outer threads on it, which fit the drainplug. Then lean the bike to the right side, remove plug and attach the tube, and lean the bike back. It will drain all the oil, and won't spill. Just my 0.02
