hugh_b
Hi everyone, I've fitted a new seal kit in my beta evo clutch master cylinder (thanks to J Lampkins for fantastic warranty support). I kept the lever held up right for the whole procedure and afterwards removed the reservoir cover, flicked the lever ( a few small air bubbles came out) and topped up. I've had the bike running and warmed it up and the clutch seems fine but what are the symptoms of air the clutch? I don't want to be half way through a trial and it start playing up. Is it best practice to bleed the clutch after replacing the master cylinder seals? Thanks Hugh
lee99780
Hi, The normal symptoms are that the lever has free play before you can feel any pressure as the piston is compressing the air before it pushes the fluid
rockyrider
It's normal to see bubbles in the clutch master while squeezing the lever. As long as the clutch disengages properly, no need to worry.
