mattblackmick
I've been helping a mate rebuild a 1989 Fantic 205, all is going ok, but I'm stumped on how to and how much oil to put in the r/h fork leg with the rebound damping in it. Any info gratefully recieved> Cheers, Mick.
shazsdad
Remove the spring and plastic spacer, then push the stanchion down as far as it will go while holding the damper rod at full extension then fill to 140mm from the top of stanchion with 7.5 wt oil. Prime the damper a few times to remove all of the air. Then re-assemble making sure the collets are in thier correct place. I hope this helps Martin
mattblackmick
Ta for the info Martin, it worked just fine. I had actually tried that approach when I asked the question, but was struggling because I couldn't extend the leg after refitting the collets. Turns out that the spring was catching on the spring clip and all it needed was a sharp tap whilst pulling the stanchion upwards. Cheers, Mick. P.S. Does anyone know of anywhere to have the Marzocchi rear shock refurbished?
davelewis
Hi Matt, Falcon shocks can service the rear shock so I believe. I have the service manual for the shock if you want it. Dave
