jamie1982
I have seen this advertised on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170795668109 I have never been happy with my front brake on my montesa, one minute it has long traveland the next its fine, are these really as good as people say they are? Are they worth the money and do i just bolt it straight on? any advice would be great, thanks
highscore
Hi Jamie, I have one on my 315R and it's very nice indeed, with loads of feel and power. You'll need a new brake hose with a banjo fitting as well, good opportunity to fit a nice blingy braided one - well, that's what I did. Honda CRF ones are the same I think. godzilla
I had one on a Scorpa, its just a CRF/CR 250/450, i got mine from E-bay usa then had Al the spanner make me a pipe, the whole thing cost around £60 if i remember rightly, its a good easy mod. Either the master cylinder seals are gone or the calipers are leaking. Or you are low on fluid.....It is a Grimeca? I would get it working correctly before I spent any money on a Nissin. snowball
I want to replace the old grimeca master on my 2001 315. Just broke the lever and the feel of the front brakes is weak. The 4 pot caliper is fine. Is the replacement part from sandifords compatible with the hose and caliper if its for later montesa's. It costs 52.99 with postage. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MONTESA-COTA-4RT-AND-LATER-COTA-315-FRONT-BRAKE-MASTER-CYL-AND-LEVER/111158981319?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D16581%26meid%3D1069365384536377316%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D7839%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D151113639421%
