tomch
I'm returning to trials after 25 years and am back on my trusty (not really, now a bad running nightmare) TY175. I found a few other enthusiasts and now someone selling new trials bikes.... 5 of us will try having the first competition in 20 years (as the sport died out...) at a four wheel drive event in an old quarry. Otherwise too spoilt for choice for amazing bits to ride in. Big thanks to Ian Allaway of JAMsport in Surrey who lent me a demo bike for the morning to put the grin back on my face when I was recently in UK! toofasttim
Ah, one of TrialsCentrals Spanish members is a regular visitor to Kenya. Lovely part of the world. Can't say I've been there (been close though). It's on my bucket list.
the_oil_baron
HI, I've been up near Lokichar all this week a bit farther north than you......trouble is they don't allow trials bikes on drilling rigs..... I keep looking at the hills in the distance thinking ooohhh I'll bet that's fun to ride up.....and fall down....I'm good at the falling down bit Cheers

tomch
Lokichar... Very hot and sandy. Remember riding in from Karpedo along an awesome fast sand track If you look round the marich Pass on the way there by tarmac from Kapenguria you will find some lovely cool mountain riding. Have you got a bike in Kenya? Do you want to come riding? Edited April 10, 2012 by TomCh
the_oil_baron
Afraid not I'm just a working visitor on an oil rig and all we saw was the road from the airstrip to the rig site. They wouldn't let us off the site due to security. No time anyway working 12 hour days. I'm in Nairobi today and off to the airport in an hour. Back to Dubai today and home to France in a couple of days. I might get back to Kenya in May/June but it'll just be a flying visit to check the rig is still doing what we told them to. Really appreciate the offer. I'll give you a shout if I can persuade the wife to come here on holiday. Cheers
