Hi I'm new to here so any help would be great.

I recently bought a 1999 250 beta techno, it runs great for say 1st 20 mins then dies on me, if u rev it u can sumtimes catch it and keep it going but it will only do it again. If it does cut out you jst kick it goin again, goes 1st kick no bother. It's weird, it's more like electrical as if it was a fueling issue it would splutter a bit 1st I would of thought but not ruling out fuel yet. I had bit of water in air box so removed and cleaned that and removed carb and cleaned out n

Blew jets threw. I read that fuel breather gets blocked but I blew mine threw and seems ok, people said it would be worse when tank was full and it seems to go longer without cutting out when tank is lower now but I'm not positive. Cheers

I would temporarily remove the brather even if a bit of fuel splashes out. Check the fuel inlet (float) valve in the carb. Check the fuel tap and in tank strainer / filter.

Ignition HT coil can occasionally give these symptoms.

Cheers

Hi guys,

Update now. Bike running like a dream. I changed plug,ht coil and lead, cdi unit, removed kill switch and checked all wiring, new air filter and cleaned carb, was stil th same so left me with the last thing the stator so bit the bullet and sent it away, it was showing low readings they said, fitted bac on bike and it's not missed a beat yet. So if anyone's got the same sort of problems then defo worth getting your stator checked. Thanks for your help, no doubt il be back on here at somepoint. Cheers
