There is a couple of cleans bikes in the shape of a 348 montesa cota and a ty 250 yam. Is one better than the other, would you recommend one over the other ?? scorpa250 Posted April 7, 2012 Report Share Posted April 7, 2012 Hi, If Both bikes are stock and not modified there is not much between them ,My opinon is that the Ty is easier to modify for the classic sections of today. The 348 has a great trials engine and looks the part but the sections of today are not what they used to be in the 70's . Parts wise there doesn't seem to be a problem with either of the bikes. jon v8 Posted April 11, 2012 Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 My farmer mates had a 348 Cota back in "the day" when I had a Beamish.Now my memory is not perfect,but the Mont seemed to be alot more hassle to keep going and the clutch was always a pain.My TY250's seem loads better than how I remember my RL,esp in how they steer and grip.
