The team is very proud welcoming into its ranks a new reference for this motorcycling speciality at world series level. Born on December 11, 1985 in Corbera de Llobregat (Barcelona), Laia Sanz is the best female rider in the history of the sport, a status proven by the four World series titles achieved by the young Catalan rider from the year 2000, as well as the European titles in the last two seasons. city trials
Honda sure likes to buy the #1 plate. I bet she looks great in Red. Edited January 3, 2004 by City Trials
martin belair
Honda sure likes to buy the #1 plate. Craig, when Laia switched from Gas Gas to Beta 2 years ago she was the Number #1 Woman in the World. Did you make the same comments about Beta then??? Please be fair. You assume that this is about money. The truth is that you do not know the details of her deal with Montesa. Laia has been given an incredible opportunity. She is on the Montesa World Team and able to train with the best riders in the world. She will be given great equipment and great support. As a fellow trials rider I wish her the best. charliechitlins
Well said, Martin. Thumbs up to Laia and Montesa/Honda for supporting some of the world's best riders in the world's best sport...with the possible exception of curling....and the Scottish utility-pole toss...you can't beat those two for laughs. city trials
As posted earlier, I was right, she looks great in Red, thanks for the photo Martin. What is that painted sign mean on the rock behind her? http://www.montesausa.com/blogimages/Laia2.jpg Edited January 9, 2004 by City Trials

dfwilson
Well now that you mention it, looks like the publicist should have caught the hammer and sickle in the background. Of course it could mean that Montesa is receiving eastern block backing?
city trials
That was my though also, but then I would have gotten an earful from Martin.
