mike64
I've had an 07 SY250 for over two years now and recently the bite point of the clutch varies when the bike gets warm. When I do a slow speed circle, 1st gear, clutch out, on tick over the bike jerks forward each time the engine fires ' or at least that what it feels like' I know the gear oil needs replacing but is it worth stripping the clutch to check the friction plates first ? If the plates are worn would they give these symptoms ? Or could it be anything else I've overlooked cheers mike
stork955
Gday, that would be normal for a slow turn. Drag a little rear brake and use a touch of throttle to smooth it out. If there was a clutch problem it would slip. Cheers, Stork
godzilla
Mine is similar, I fitted a reach adjuster in the lever, sometimes I give it a twiddle. There is also a gods chance the exhaust could do with re packing of something like that, what oil are you running? Some seem to degrade quicker than others. mike64
I'm using Motul 5100 , I've been advised to check a few things, chain sprockets etc. Do you still have that heavier flywheel, if so could I try it ? Cheers
