naichuff Posted April 19, 2012 Report Share Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) 4th gear is a straight 1/1 drive where the 3rd gear pinion locks into the output gear the one the final drive sprocket is on. The other thing to look at is the gear selector pauls for wear or damage These can chip if the gear lever is knocked If this happens gear selection only goes one way but check they may only be worn Edited April 19, 2012 by Naichuff Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
