lincol
Just starting again and have a couple of asks ! I have bought an Evo 2010 250 4T which is in excellent condition, the only thing I have noticed is that one of the four front mudguard mounting screws is not doing a lot as the plastic that it holds is broken. The mudguard is secure enough but should I replace it ? , as it appears only plastic I dont think it provides any fork bracing. My other simpler question is what engine oil to use and what change interval. Regards to all Lincol
carl ekblom
I have cracked a number of them in a similar way. They are crap. Some weeks ago I fitted the TTT front mudgard from this kit http://www.saunderse...22961&parent=4. It fits well after some tweaking. I think it use the Montesa fork brace. stecks
will the plastic not 'weld' with a small soldering iron...? practice on something else, then weld the crack on both sides...? nothing to lose maybe not as complex as this, but the ideas there... this chap welds in a bent piece of wire as reinforcement... and uses a similar piece of plastic as a 'welding rod'... "the customer will never know" some of the YouTube links may also be useful? Edited April 22, 2012 by Stecks
lee99780
You can try an adhesive called q bond, its very good and easy to use, sprinkle the powder over the crack then just a drop of the glue and it set solid in 10 seconds
