kjl123q1
Hi There, Could anyone please advise the correct shock length for the Honda RS200T? I have an issue with my current shocks - which on large drop offs (fully compressed) can lead to the tyre hitting the inside of the mudguard. Any help would be truly appreciated Current shocks are 14.75" eyelet to eyelet - ish! Thanks!
rogerroger
If it's any consolation, mine does this too! (360mm Rock Shocks fitted)
kjl123q1
Thanks for the reply - and I do take some consolation - do you think the bikes could take a longer shock? By the way - do you run standard forks - mine seem quite harsh and I was considering opening up the dampening rod very slightly. thanks again for taking your time to reply. rogerroger
Not sure - I keep meaning to investigate but never get round to it. Bigger bump stop rubbers/spacer might do the job by just limiting the travel a bit. Standard forks are harsh, and standard yokes have 2.5 deg offset which kicks the front wheel out a long way. A changed the forks for TLM forks and the yokes for TLR yokes (with 1.5 deg of offset) - much better action and steering much improved. kjl123q1
Thanks again - thats a great idea. May I ask how you tracked the forks down? Ebay? sounds a good mod.. would you be able to send me a picture of what it looks like? I bet it looks great!
rogerroger
Forks and Yokes were bought from Ellastone Offroad - not sure how much Honda stuff they have these days. The Yen is a bit strong for importing container loads of bits from Japan. Pics of my Honda are in the Garage section (with original forks) - great looking bikes! bashplate
hi there Kjl, would think Tlr200 at 15.5/16" or Tlr 250 at 15.3/4" would be the way to go.
