Hi.

This is my first post :D

I recently bought a Gas Gas 280pro from 2008.

I have ride it a few times without any problems.

When I had filled the gasoline for the first time i have noticed that it smokes a lot. i Mixed 75:1 with full synthetic oil TTS.

what can the reason be ?

I go very easy now in the beginning, and travel long distances can the reason be that i run it to easy ?

Kind Regards

Johan

hi i have a gas gas 250 pro i run mine on 75mm to 5lt of petrol i use ipon semi synthetic sill smokes but not alot. i was told only use fully sythetic if your really riding hard. or it may be your carb is runing to rich. have you checked your plug? if its oily it could be rather the carb is runing to rich or the oil is not burning of so you may need to use what i use. if you not riding the bike hard hope this helps

If you rode just a little when you got it, but refueled and went for a long ride the bike would be burning out all the old oil from the pipe and muffler.

Thank you very much for your help.it was like you said. Now there is no more smoke !

hi tuna,

im glad you caught the problem hook, line and sinker.

as soon as i read the thread, something appeared to be a bit fishy.

sometimes little problems like this start to bait you.

but you just gotta have patience and reel them in slowly.

i remember when i had a problem with my bike. i was landed when i put it in its plaice.

welcome to trials central anyway. you'll soon be hooked.

tartare for now.
