Seized Fork

after getting my clutch fixed i took the bike out for a run and then one of the forks seized solid. it does move a little while twisting it but it feels very rough, i don't know how im going to get it apart. iv been meaning to change the seals for a while as they were leaking very badly so i suspect the lack of oil is what caused it to seize. does anyone know how ill be able to get it apart. i just hope this hasn't caused any serious damage.

Cheers Lewis

Is the fork stuck at full extention or partially compressed? If partially compressed, the upper tube may be bent. If at extention, the bushings, or possibly the damper rod may be the problem. I'd try taking the base bolt out (it's at the bottom of the lower leg and then take the seal circlip out and use a little heat on the top of the lower leg to see if that eases it out.
