andy m
Besides the rims being steel and fork diameter being different are there any other big differences between the normal Honda Tlr 200 and the Reflex ?? Just bought one which will get the f/pegs dropped a set of Marzocchis etc and a rebuild.

vintagemotoworx
HI! I am currently building a TLR/Reflex for competition at my shop. I've completely stripped the bike and there are many differences. Starting at the front: 1. Steel wheels 2. different steel brake arms at hubs 3. different triple trees 4. Street legal garb 5. Carby is EPA sealed to run like Crap 6. Exhaust is also choked up compared to TLR 7. Transmission ratios slightly different for more road going 8. Bigger fuel tank 9. airbox is different. Crankcase vented to it different 10. Charcoal canister 11. Final gearing 12. seat 13. Cam different ( USA model) I might have missed some things but that is the jist of it. I'm going to be using TY 350 forks on mine as well as a slew of other things from Shedworks. Works performance shocks are custom built to your exact specs and are great shocks for replacement. vintagemotoworx
Oh and the rubber cush drive in rear hub for sprocket!
andy m
Thanks for that, I wasn't aware of the ratio difference, is it all or the higher gears ?? I will be using Fantic forks and yokes and changing rims the other bits are not a problem. I feel a trip to Shedworks will be on the cards..... bigmike1961
What about the frame? IS that the same?
tlrmark
Yes the frame is exactly the same, as far as dimensions. The road legal reflex has some extra brackets of course for the street legal equipment. The steering head angle is 27 degrees on both.
