Hi Folks I am stuck, have had cooling problems, so cleaned fan motor all was good! Have noticed that there is now no power to the motor and have traced to black box (is this a thermal switch?) bolted to side of the fan with two yellow ( Alternator I guess) and red black to the fan. Any ideas please?

Cheers

sounds more like the rectifier , thermo switch should be inline in a hose or screwed into rad

Hi. Have been supplied with another rectifier regulator, but only has one yellow one black. It was supplied by moto merlin as the correct one, but nothing like what I have. Does the thermoswitch connect to the regulator/rectifier? The black and red wires go straight to the fan, so does the switch work of an AC voltage?

Cheers
