darrenb
Guys after a lot of reading on here, 'trial and error' and trips to West Country I have now got to the bottom of my sparking problems on my 2002 Rev 3 250. It has a nice new shiny re-wound stator but now needs a CDI. seems these things are like rocking horse... Anyone know if their is an alternative that can be used, a reliable source to buy one (Beta UK don't have them, trials and tribs sell them at £160!) or a breaker that 'may' have one in? Cheers Darren

naichuff
Thanks for the info there are two types of stators a six coil type for the models up to 2002 and the four coil type 2003 on The Cdi units differ and I assume the fly wheel magnets differ as generates and times the spark?
