Hi there

My 10 year old son moved from a TY80 to a big wheel Whitehawk, but I also took the chance of a Clipic CJ80 (2005 - Orange/White model) which cost next to nothing compared to a Beta 80.

He has now been riding the Clipic for a few months and competing very well against Beta's and beating a lot of them

Build quality is very good - remember Spain is a hotbed of trials, so bikes have to be good !

Standard are Paoili forks, Olle shock, Hebo bars etc etc. Engine is Derbi 80, so spares are readily available.

Pennine Trialsport still keep spares for most items - and costs are reasonable.

I paid £700 for the bike - around £500 ish cheaper than a Beta

Hope this helps - any other questions please ask

cheers

John

Cheers for that John, just had a chat with the nice man at pennine! guess what? the one ive looked at is a 2004 and the firm that made the engines in the early ones is no more!! think ill give it a miss, knowing my luck it'll go up in smoke the day after i get it !!

Thanks again

Chris

Shame - the newer ones are great bikes, but harder to come by then Beta 80's

Got to say Pennine Trialsport have been very helpful to me as well

Good luck in the hunto for a new bike

cheers
