richard55 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Share Posted August 19, 2012 hi all, has anyone any ideas on replacing the standard villiers clutch on my pre65 scramble bike,[i know not trials] .i would like to replace it with a jap one,ie conbination of the two, that will still fit inside standard castings. any views greatly appreciated. richard55 Posted August 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 20, 2012 Thanks for your interest Hewson, the problem with the original clutch is that i removed the case hardening from the basket and now the plates are creating quite deep grooves, which makes the clutch drag.
