mcman56
What does it take to remove the rear brake pedal on a Rev 3? There is a nut on the inside but not adequate space to get a standard thickness spanner on the nut. I can't even get calipers in there to measure the nut size. It looks like the most direct method is to remove the swing arm but I'm thinking there must be an easier way.
betabonkers
Pretty sure its 19 mil, mine seem to fit fine without removing swing arm.
2stroke4stroke
It can be done but why bother? It's only two nuts and as many minutes to remove the swingarm and you can grease the pivot bearings while you're about it.
ludescotty
ive managed to get the pedal unbolted etc but the thing wont come out of the frame, there isnt enough room to squeeze it between the frame and swing arm. next time i get some free time im just going to remove the swing arm and do the lot in one go
overdale
I know that you've probably got it out by now, but with the pivot bolt out, get someone to sit or push down on the back of the bike as hard as possible. This moves the swinging arm up and allows you to pull the lever out. Edited September 21, 2012 by overdale
