bexbeta
Hello, I am new to trials and have just bought a 2004 rev3. It starts first time in the morning, and restarts after stopping during riding about. However, when the bike is laid over on its side ( once on purpose and twice from crashing - always on the left hand side) it will not start again that day. Next day, starts first time again! It has new plug and cap with a good spark, fresh fuel, and a decent air filter in it. Anybody got any ideas what is going on and what I can do to sort it out? It does seem to leak a bit of fuel through what appears to be a small brass overflow at the bottom of the mikuni carb. Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers, Kevin
2stroke4stroke
Sounds like it has flooded. Swich the petrol off, open the throttle wide and give it a few kicks. It should start. Everyone who owned a two stroke in the Sixties knows the routine.
pindie
I agree on flooding. You can turn the fuel off before you pick it up. By the time you have it upright it should behave. If not you need to do 2T4Ts method.
