2011 cab 300
Hi was wondering If anyone can help me. I am needing to change my kickstart shaft seal and I'm not sure how to do it. I started to take off side casing and my coolant started to seap out so I quickly put bolts back in as I'm not sure if this should happen. If there's anyone out there kind enough to maybe reply with a step by step process. Thanks, I have the kickstart seal and casing gasket. traves
Hi all you need to do is take the kick start of and pick out the old seal witch is behind the kick start with a small screw driver or pick and the insert the new seal with a suitable size socket. Also i would advise changing the gearbox oil as the water could of got into there. hope this helps
2011 cab 300
do i not need to replace the seal from the inside? i.e open up casing replace seal and clutch casing gasket? Thankyou for your reply :-)
tony27
Because you've disturbed the sidecover gasket & probably damaged it I would drain the coolant & take the cover off to replace the gasket, do the seal while it's off
