sykes
hi does anyone know if there is any difference in these new models compared to the older 2007 models? i take it they all now have hydraulic clutch and i think, maybe an electric start. would maybe have rathered a 175 but not seeing any for sale right now, so how does the 125 compare with power/performance any info would be great cheers..... laser1
I believe the current 125 models of the Scorpa line are 2t's (Sherco motors). Not the old Yamaha air cooled 4t based bike. FWIW - GG now makes a Randonne that incorporated a 125 4t motor. I heard they were coming out with a 250 version as well, but haven't seen any official announcement. jmo
Where are you Sykes? In Europe the 4-stroke TY 125 FR is a current model: Using the same built-under-licence/copied 'Yamaha' engine that the Gas Gas Randonne uses, complete with e-start. More info on the Scorpa.fr website... I understand that from 2013, the Gas Gas may be upped in cc - presumably using one of the bigger bore kits (either factory or dealer fitted) that were/are available for the old Yamaha engined bikes? - 163cc has been mooted - which I believe was the actual capacity of the old TY-F200? A pretty bike, although the Gasser might be easier to source where you are? I know they are making their way into the US at the moment...
